I drove a camera for almost 20 years with the NZ Police.  I was sworn member for about 120 haircuts, with most of my time in Forensic Imaging, including being a national instructor.

With crime scenes demanding the absolute highest standards of photography, videography, and adherence to process,  it’s hard to imagine a tougher (or better) training ground for what I do now.  And, with  thousands of personal interactions with people from all walks of life, it’s fair to say that I have a pretty good handle on what makes us humans tick.

Fortunately, it was not all scary subject matter, as I completed numerous jobs with major publishing houses and agencies on much happier promotional or educational projects.

I can fairly say that I truly understand the science and art of capturing and presenting what is pleasing to our eyes and ears, and so Four Wings was born.  It is fantastic when my work is also my passion (along with flying planes - but that is another story). Four Wings is named after a West Coast dragonfly, just a wee good luck beastie of mine.
